Basic iPad Operation

1. Initial Settings for iPad iOS10

This section explains the initial settings for iPad iOS10 and later.

  • Press and hold the power button in the upper right corner of the iPad to turn on the device.

  • When the power turns on and the screen displays "Hello", press the Home button at the bottom of the iPad.

  • On the Language Settings screen, tap "Japanese".

  • On the Country/Region Settings screen, tap "Japan".

  • On the Keyboard Settings screen, set the keyboard you want to use, and then tap "Next".

  • On the Wi-Fi network selection screen, select the name of the network you want to use, and enter the passcode.

  • After entering the passcode, tap "Connect".

  • On the Location Services setting screen, tap "Turn on Location Services".

  • On the Passcode setting screen, set the passcode.

  • On the App and Data Settings screen, tap "Set as New iPad".

  • On the AppleID Settings screen, tap "Don't have or forgot your Apple ID", "Set later in Settings", and "Don't use".

  • On the Terms of Service screen, review the terms of service and tap "I agree.

  • On the Siri settings screen, tap "Don't use Siri".

  • On the iPad Analysis screen, tap "Don't share".

  • Your settings are now complete. Tap "Let's get started! Tap
