How to use Keynote

1. Purchase Keynote from AppStore

  1. Tap AppleStore.

  2. Search for keynote.

  3. Check the price of keynote. (Currently, it is 1000 yen.)

  4. Tap Buy.

  5. Enter your password and sign in to iTunesStore.

  6. Open iTunesStore after installation is complete. This completes the purchase process.

2. Create a presentation

  1. ​Tap "Continue".

  2. Tap "Use iCloud".

  3. Tap "Create Presentation".

  4. Select a theme. Tap the theme you like.

  5. Open the hints to familiarize yourself with the features.

  6. Close the hint.

  7. Double-tap the title to edit it.

  8. Tap the screen to finish.

  9. Add a slide.

  10. Select a layout for the slide.

  11. Double-tap to edit in the same way.

  12. Add a photo.

  13. Drag the corners to adjust the size.

  14. Drag to move it.

  15. Your slide is now ready. That's it for basic operations.

3. How to insert photos and adjust the layout

  1. ​Add a slide.

  2. Edit the title text.

  3. Tap a photo to edit it.

  4. Tap Edit.

  5. Tap Style.

  6. Select the display style.

  7. Tap the plus (+) button to change the photo.

  8. Select a photo in your iPad.

  9. Configure the photo display settings.

  10. Tap the image.

  11. Tap Edit Mask.

  12. Pinch out to enlarge the photo.

  13. Drag the photo to move it.

  14. Tap Exit.

  15. Tap Arrange. Placement allows you to move, rotate, and lock edits to the layer.

  16. Touch the photo with two fingers and rotate your fingers to rotate the photo.

4. Adjusting and setting text

  1. ​Select the text you want to adjust.

  2. Tap "Edit Tools".

  3. In Style, change the style of the text.

  4. Use the Style option to make detailed adjustments.

  5. In the Style option, you can set the settings for each frame of the object.

  6. You can change the background color of the frame.

  7. Tap "Text".

  8. You can change the font, text decoration, and style of the text.

  9. Adjust the text position, margin width, and other settings.

  10. Tap "Lock".

  11. When locked, you will not be able to edit or adjust the position of the text.

  12. Tap to unlock.

5. Setting up animation

  1. Tap "Tools".

  2. Tap "Transition" and "Build".

  3. Set the transition (changeover animation) for the selected slide.

  4. Select the transition.

  5. Fine adjustments can be made in Options.

  6. Play to see the preview.

  7. Add transitions to the other slides as well.

  8. You can also animate the objects in the slide.

  9. Tap "In".

  10. Add animation for in (when to display).

  11. Add an out animation.

  12. Tap "Exit" to exit.

  13. You can set fascinating animations that the only keynote can provide.

6. How to use the Tools menu

  1. ​Tap "Tools".

  2. Tap "Presenter Notes".

  3. Here, you can write notes for the presenter.

  4. Tap "Exit" to quit.

  5. Tap Presentation Tools.

  6. Tap Interactive Links.

  7. This tool allows you to add links to objects in your presentation.

  8. Double-tap the object to select it, and then choose the link destination.

  9. For the web, enter the URL.

  10. Tap "Finish".

  11. Tap "Soundtrack".

  12. Select the background music for your presentation. You can select audio from iTunes.

  13. You can fine-tune the settings of your presentation by tapping the "Settings" button.

7. How to use the Share menu

  1. ​Tap "Share".

  2. Share the link with iCloud. (When you share with iCloud, you can share it with your mac, PC, and iPhone.

  3. Tap "Continue".

  4. Tap the screen.

  5. Tap "Share".

  6. Tap "Open in another app".

  7. Tap "PDF".

  8. The message "PDF is being created" will appear.

  9. Tap "Select App".

  10. Select "Dropbox".

  11. The PDF will be saved to Dropbox.

  12. Tap the PDF to open it.

  13. It will be displayed in full screen.

  14. (DF files can be downloaded and used on PC and Mac.
